Budget Bridal Jewellery Tips – Rêve Bridal Special

Weddings are usually expensive but, your wedding jewellery doesn't have to be. In today's post we'll be giving you some simple tips and tricks for selecting inexpensive wedding jewellery and looking beautiful on your wedding day.

TIP 1. DON'T OVER-ACCESSORISE or OVER-SPEND

You don't have to wear jewellery. Yes, you read right. If your outfit is highly embellished with sequins and tons of layers, adding jewellery to the mix can make you look overdone. You can also opt for very simple, inexpensive, high-quality faux pieces pieces. Rêve is currently having a bridal special for two hair slides and matching faux pearl studs for only 600 Jamaican dollars in our Devon House (Kingston, Jamaica) store. That is less than 8 US dollars! These would be perfect for a busy dress. The sale is on while supplies last. Get your pair now.

TIP 2.  STAY TRUE TO YOU

We don't really want you to overdo it but you should wear jewellery that reflects your personality. If you are simple, go simple. If you like drama, go for that. It is your day and you are the one who should feel absolutely beautiful.

TIP 3.  CONSIDER YOUR HAIRSTYLE

Consider your hairstyle or headpiece. You don't want your drop earrings getting tangled in your beautiful drop curls at every turn. Select jewellery that will work with your hair. Some women opt to wear jewellery that matches the dresses of their bridesmaids. This is fine but also consider how it may work with your hair colour as well. Oh, and don't forget to try the jewellery on with the selected hairstyle and headpiece (or something close to it) to see whether you like it at all.

TIP 4.  RENT  YOUR JEWELLERY

As you can see in the picture above, Rêve does custom hand-made pieces for weddings. You can also rent pieces from the store as well. We can even take a look at your dress and suggest styles that may work well for you. Check with your favourite goldsmith to see whether this is a real option for you or contact Rêve today (revejewellery2006@gmail.com). Check out one of our popular rented pieces below.

TIP 5.  REMEMBER THE BRIDESMAIDS

Wearing jewellery that clashes with your bridesmaids can be a disaster. Keep them uniformed in simple and inexpensive jewellery.  Since it will most likely be in your style and may not be their preference, opt for faux diamonds or pearls and try to buy them well in advance. They could also be your gift to them for participating.

TIP 6.  FIRST THINGS FIRST & LAST THINGS LAST

What should you select first? Utilise your wedding organiser. First, figure out what are you most attached to. If you're all about your jewellery, select that first then build everything around it. If you're most excited about the dress, focus on building from there onwards. Lastly and most importantly, try EVERYTHING on together. This will ensure that you are 100% happy with your choices before the big day. Write your schedule down when you begin planning and stick to your schedule as closely as possible to avoid the last-minute rush.

TIP 6.  DON'T DELAY

Get your selected items way in advance. You can always tweak closer to the date. The truth is that things don't stay in stores forever. Try it and buy it now so that you can be sure that you will have it on your big day. If you change your mind, sell it on eBay. LOL.
